No substitute to hard work

Its been a couple of years since I've set out my own path to give life to an idea, create and mould an organization to make it best in class. After a pretty satisfying and fulfilling corporate career spanning large MNC's, ironically, it wasn't an easy choice at the beginning. I was about to abandon all the material comforts of a well-paid job and leave behind all the frills, benefits and image associated with a good title for which I had toiled several years.

However, a little deeper thinking helped me wade through the smoke and emerge clear to follow my passion with complete conviction. I had the simple realization that viewing myself through the lens of the world, means that I’ll only get to see the images that are constrained by their own infrastructure and thinking. To realize my best potential, I need to not only own what I truly believe in, but also take the initiative to put it into action.

Many well-wishers would quip that business is all about timing and luck. But the last few years have only reinforced my belief even stronger that there is no better substitute to hard work and perseverance. Now this may sound rather cliché and even deterring, but I now experience that when I truly enjoy and love what I do, it no longer seems like hard or work but rather something that I enjoy pushing myself to do more. After all dreams only work when you work on them.
